A Letter from the Founders

We are a card-playing family. My brother-in-law Jack and sister-in-law Paula came back from Florida with the idea of a turning card holder. A friend of Jack’s made one out of a Lazy Susan. Jack decided to make one of his own, and we played with it a few times. It was a great help in playing Hand and Foot, so I decided to make one of my own design. Being retired and having life-long experience in wood working, I had the time and the ability to make a nice, handcrafted card carousel. I settled on a 13” diameter circle, which was just the right size to hold several decks and a discard, and was still small enough to be mailed easily. I started building them in my workshop.

Jack and Paula sold some of my carousels to friends of theirs in Florida, and then I started getting requests for more. At this point I decided to make an inventory of carousels and sell them online. We also started doing some Christmas shows, festivals, and craft shows. As we did the shows, our customers started asking us why we didn’t sell a card holder to match the carousel. That’s when I came up with the design for Angie’s Card Holders.

We named our company after our beautiful and precious daughter Angie, who lost her battle with acute Leukemia in 2006. We appreciate your support very much, and we hope to hear from you about our products. We stand behind our products with a money back guarantee. If you are happy with your card playing accessories, please tell your card-playing friends about them.

Sincerely,

Ralph and Kay
